Romira GmbH, located in Pinneberg, Germany, is looking for a:
Head of Purchasing (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
* Conducting contract and price negotiations, including with international suppliers.
* Assuming technical and organizational leadership of the purchasing department, which consists of a team of five employees.
* Developing and implementing a forward-looking procurement strategy.
* Ensuring the cost-efficient and timely procurement of raw materials, additives, and packaging materials with an annual purchasing volume of over 50 million euros.
* Establishing, maintaining, and further developing strategic supplier relationships.
* Identifying and realizing cost optimization and savings potential.
* Analyzing procurement markets and assessing risks in the supply chain.
* Regular participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions.

Your profile
* A successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
* Several years of professional experience in strategic and operational procurement at a manufacturing company, ideally in the plastics, chemical, or process industries.
* Strong affinity for plastics and polymer materials.
* Proven experience leading employees and teams, combined with a cooperative, team-oriented mindset.
* Excellent understanding of supply chains, raw material markets, and procurement strategies.
* Proficiency in using ERP systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
* Fluency in German and very good English skills.
* Willingness to travel internationally, particularly within Asia.
